Live online anger management, directed by a doctorally prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner
AngerManaged is a live online anger management program directed by Dr. Karel Winner, a doctorally prepared psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and a Certified Anger Management Specialist II through the National Anger Management Association. Every participant receives a clinical assessment before the first session, attends twelve weekly live sessions with attendance verified at roll call, and completes an individual closing review before a signed certificate is issued.
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Vanderbilt University
- Board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), American Nurses Credentialing Center
- CAMS-II, the clinical tier of NAMA certification, held by a licensed mental health professional
- Licensed as an APRN in 34 states and the District of Columbia
How it works
The same sequence for every participant, so the record is built the same way every time.
A $50 hold reserves a seat in the next cohort and is applied to your assessment fee. The hold is refundable until your own court or employer confirms the program is accepted.
If a court, probation officer, or employer ordered the program, confirm with them that it meets your requirement before you enroll. Acceptance is decided case by case, and it is never guaranteed.
A 45 minute individual assessment with the clinical director, Dr. Karel Winner, DNP, PMHNP-BC, CAMS-II, covering your history and a structured anger pretest. Program length and track are assigned in writing, and your enrollment letter is provided within one business day.
Sixty minutes each, live on Zoom, led by an educator under the director supervision. Cameras stay on and attendance is verified at roll call.
An individual closing review with the director, including the post test, then a completion certificate signed by the director stating the hours you actually attended and completed.
A clinical assessment, not an enrollment form
Enrollment in AngerManaged begins with a clinical evaluation by the CAMS-II director, the same assessment standard a court or probation office would expect from a clinical provider.
- Structured intake packet and anger pretest completed before the assessment session
- 45 minute individual assessment with the director, including a biopsychosocial history
- Program track and program length assigned in writing at the assessment
- Post test at completion, reviewed with you in the closing review
- Risk and scope screening at assessment, with referral out when a case is outside the program scope
- Only the CAMS-II director performs assessments and clinical services in this program
The full assessment process is described on the Program page. The director credentials are on the Clinical Director page.
