For Courts and Employers

Standards and documentation your office can rely on

AngerManaged is directed by a named, accountable clinician: Dr. Karel Winner, DNP, PMHNP-BC, CAMS-II, a doctorally prepared Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner certified in anger management through the National Anger Management Association. Every participant is assessed by the director before the first session, attendance is verified live at roll call in every session, and every report and completion certificate carries the director signature and states the hours actually attended and completed.

Program standards

These standards govern every cohort and every participant record, without exception.

StandardWhat it means in practice
Accountable clinical direction One named director is accountable for the program: Dr. Karel Winner, DNP, PMHNP-BC, CAMS-II. Only the CAMS-II director performs assessments and provides clinical services. Full credentials: Clinical Director page.
Assessment before enrollment Every participant completes a clinical assessment with the director (biopsychosocial history, structured anger pretest) before session 1. Track and program length are assigned in writing. No participant is enrolled into hours the assessment does not support.
Verified live attendance Sessions are live on Zoom only, never recorded or self paced. Cameras stay on, attendance is verified at roll call, and a session counts only when the participant attends the full 60 minutes.
Documentation on a fixed schedule Enrollment letter within one business day of assessment. Progress reports monthly. Completion certificate at completion, after the closing review. The schedule does not depend on anyone requesting the documents.
Director signatures Every progress report and every completion certificate is signed by the CAMS-II director personally. Certificates state the hours actually attended and completed. There is no backdating, and no certificate is issued before the closing review or while a balance is outstanding.
Verification To verify a certificate, or to confirm a participant enrollment or completion status, contact the program office at (800) 303-3221 or [email protected]. Verification confirms the facts on the document: participant name, program and track, hours attended and completed, and completion date.
Confidentiality Program records are confidential. Progress reports are factual only (sessions attended, hours completed, homework status) and are released only with the participant signed consent. Clinical detail from the assessment is not included in progress reports.
Consistent quality controls The director supervises the educator and reviews attendance, homework, and risk flags weekly. Any risk issue is raised to the director the same day. Attendance and homework are tracked in a shared cohort record for every participant.

How a referral runs

1
Acceptance is confirmed first.

Acceptance is decided by each court and each officer, case by case, before any payment converts. The participant confirms acceptance with your office using the acceptance sheet described below. A $50 seat hold reserves the place and is refunded in full if the program is not accepted.

2
The participant completes the director assessment.

Your office receives the enrollment letter within 1 business day of the assessment.

3
Monthly reporting runs on its own.

With the participant signed consent, the monthly factual report goes to your office without anyone having to request it.

4
Completion closes the file cleanly.

The signed certificate, stating hours actually completed, follows the individual closing review with the director.

The acceptance sheet

Because acceptance is per court and per officer, there is no single provider list that settles it. Each prospective participant receives a one page acceptance sheet to hand to their probation officer, court, or employer before enrolling. It states, in one place:

  • Program name and provider credentials: Karel Winner, DNP, PMHNP-BC, CAMS-II
  • Live format: weekly sessions on Zoom, cameras on
  • Program length in hours and the session schedule
  • Attendance verification at roll call, every session
  • Reporting commitments: enrollment letter, monthly reports, certificate
  • The refund rule: the seat hold is refunded if the program is not accepted

No acceptance, the hold refunds. No exceptions, and no acceptance guarantee is ever stated by the program.

Scope boundaries

  • Batterer intervention and domestic violence specific orders are not served by this program. Those clients are referred out at assessment.
  • Education sessions are education and coaching, not therapy, counseling, or clinical treatment. Clinical services are provided only in the private clinical track, by the director.
  • Acceptance is decided case by case by each court, officer, and employer, and is never guaranteed.
  • The CAMS-II credential is the director personal professional certification through the National Anger Management Association. AngerManaged does not claim that NAMA approves, accredits, or endorses this program.
